Jun 12 2024 I came across the legendaryFoxylady palm. The hybrid Wodyetia bifurcata x Veitchia arecina. I think I am madly in love. Lol but really I ve only heard amazing things from this palm and I absolutely love the looks from it
Not to mention I read that it can handle down to 25F! All this being said Jun 4 2008 John you are correct the twofoxyladies in the photo at Flecker gardens one variegated and smaller are from the very first batch offoxylady palms cultivated and I understand Mikey himself played a significant part in making the first seed observations of this hybrid palm which has entranced the palm community ever since Jun 20 2022 Alas the time has come
I ve been growing thisfoxylady a few years now and I think it s time to rehome her. It s in a 15 gal but it ideally should go in the ground soon it s filled in that pot already
I was really ambitious intending to grow her up here but Fresno winters will trash it ever Jun 3 2013 They say thefoxylady is a rocket but the growth rate appears to be the same as seedlings. Erik the Foxtails were planted many months before the F1 Foxyladies
I have numerous large ones in the garden I would say the Foxladies grow more rapidly. The only exception would be the ones that are extremely variegated Oct 5 2018 ThisFoxyLady Palm is still standing despite the lean and creased oozing vertical stripe. It s getting close to the end for me though
Since the lean is headed toward the overhead phone and cable lines not power I ll take it down before it comes down on its own Aug 11 2020 After many years and trees that are ungodly tall myfoxylady 1 of 2 dropped 2 very ripe very real looking seeds
With only 2 to work with I of course will just hope to see if they germinate

This was acquired as aFoxyLady but the trunk is different than one of my other ones in that it doesn t have the bulge from the Wodyetia bifurcata parent
